COOPERSVILLE - With tightly cropped hair, East Elementary Principal Dave Sipka again recognized a record-breaking effort at the school.
The last time, he had his head shaved in an assembly to keep a promise to students who raised more than $20,000 for tsunami relief -- 100 percent past the goal.
This time, he honored teacher Connie Wahr, who organized the fund-raiser soon after the December disaster in Asia. "
