WALTHAM -- After displaying their generosity by collecting more than 250,000 pennies for tsunami victims, students at Waltham High School yesterday displayed the nearly half-ton chunk of change before hauling it to the bank.

At the beginning of January, the school implemented history teacher Leah Cosby's idea to collect 150,000 pennies to benefit victims of the Southeast Asian tsunami. "
