The needs of tsunami victims are extensive, and the worldwide outpouring of generosity in the past six weeks has been extraordinary.
But some supplies sent to Sri Lanka and other hard-hit areas are inappropriate -- and even downright bizarre. There are contributions that show a simple lack of understanding of the climate. Wool blankets, winter jackets and woolen pajamas are useless in the 80-degree heat."
