PITTSBURGH, Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The Salvation Army is now transitioning into Phase II of its relief efforts in South Asia. Activities are focused on restoration of housing and local economies. A record breaking donation of 344 acres of land to The Salvation Army from the Sri Lankan government will eventually provide permanent housing for 1,000 families. This land allocation and building project will provide homes for a portion of the 53,000 displaced residents of Galle."
