Region's relief agencies ready for latest quake

Local relief agencies have a message for those who want to help after Monday's earthquake in Indonesia: They've got this one covered.
Officials at Westport-based Save the Children and AmeriCares of Stamford say they still have relief workers on the ground from the devastating earthquake and tsunami that struck South Asia on Dec. 26.

What's more, they say, they got so many donations after that tragedy that they're urging people to give instead to their other programs.

"People were very, very generous," AmeriCares spokeswoman Beth Walsh said.
