The Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development of the Federal Republic of Germany Heidemarie Wieczorek-Zeul who called on Finance and Planning Minister Dr.Sarath Amunugama yesterday pledged 100 million euro to the Sri Lankan Government towards the reconstruction drive in tsunami stricken areas.
The Minister during her courtesy call on the Finance Minister told reporters that the German Government has allocated 500 million euro to assist tsunami hit countries. Of them, 100 million euro has been set apart for Sri Lanka. "
