NEW YORK, July 27, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Today, Gerard Arpey, Chairman and CEO of American Airlines, on behalf of American Airlines and American Eagle employees, presented a check for $60,000 to Charles Lyons, President of the US Funds for UNICEF. Representing AMR employees were Jennifer Proctor, Manager of Corporate Citizenship, and Vera Holowczyk from the JFK Employee Recreation Committee.

'These funds, donated by individual employees of American, will aid the next phase of UNICEF's programs for tsunami relief in South Asia, continuing care for the most vulnerable in the worst natural disaster in living memory,' said Lyons."
